A word for
VAC, RCMP and CAF clients in the Medavie Blue Cross programs in Gatineau
The VitaMasso Massage and Orthotherapy Clinic in Gatineau provides massage and orthotherapy treatments to people who benefit from Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) programs.
Our status as an approved paramedical care provider means that our therapists are members in good standing of the Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec (RMPQ) or a similar professional association and hold a license to practice. It also means that they are committed to a very strict code of ethics.
Using an approved massage therapy provider
- For your peace of mind. Our clinic takes care of all the necessary forms to request claims from your insurance company. The procedures are therefore greatly simplified. And you have only one thing to think about: your well-being.
- For your physical health. Repetitive gestures, standing for long periods of time, maintaining a posture that is not ergonomic… All these elements can cause injuries to the hips, back or shoulders, such as tendonitis, bursitis, capsulitis and aches, which can be painful. Massage therapy and orthotherapy have proven their worth many times in relieving pain and increasing their range of motion.
- For your mental health. As a member of the military or the RCMP, your occupation can sometimes cause you to experience traumatic situations. Massage therapy has proven to be effective as a complementary treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder. Research has also shown that massage helps to reduce stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms associated with physical pain.
To minimize the risks to your health, we strongly recommend that you talk to your doctor before consulting our massage therapists and orthotherapists.
